What's 1000 Markets?
It's a new online marketplace similar Etsy, but solely devoted to handmade products.
I was recently introduced to this lovely site by Ellen at Yellow Dog Farm. The visual layout is great, very simple and very easy to navigate. The merchants are all small, independent, artisan businesses, who make and sell unique products. They work together to create market places which are little communities - gathering places where merchants can
exchange ideas, and customers can browse and talk.
And have great hopes for this site to be an active selling tool for me. Click here to check out my shop. http://www.1000markets.com/users/glimmeringprize.
Watch for more good things to come in the next few months.
My work will be on display downtown Burlington in the juried, Arts Alive Fine Art Show, next month.
I'm teaching another class at Artist's Medium and consigning some new pieces in a lovely little brick and mortar shop up in the islands.
Mid June will take me to Massachusetts to take a class with my favorite teaching artist, Michael De Meng and hang out with the lovely and talented Robin Lane.
July brings with it the Stowe Street Art Festival, which has had a change over in the staffing, so I am hoping for an excellent show this year!
Lots of things happening as the weather gets warmer. I only hope I can have enough time to relax in the garden and to play in the studio. Cheers!
